Diagnostic services

In-house Laboratory

Our in-house laboratory can perform a variety of diagnostic procedures for your pet, including blood counts, serum chemistries, electrolytes, cross-matching and parasite identification. These procedures allow us help diagnose disease and acute symptoms easily, without giving your pet stress or discomfort.

Digital Radiography

Digital radiography provides instant images, allowing for rapid diagnoses for your pet. Our highly-trained staff uses our state-of-the-art equipment to quickly and efficiently diagnose your pet. Our veterinarians can also e-mail x-rays to a certified specialist for expert analysis.

We also provide dental digital radiography, providing instant images and diagnoses that will aid in your pet's dental care.

Ultrasound

An ultrasound is similar to an x-ray, but provides real time evaluation of your pet's organs. Ultrasounds can locate non-radiopaque foreign bodies in the intestine without costly and time consuming x-ray procedures, leading to earlier intervention and surgical removal. An ultrasound examination is less invasive, less stressful and more comfortable for your pet.

Endoscopy

An endoscopy allows our veterinarians to look inside your pet using a series of small cameras attached to a flexible tube. This lets the doctor look inside a body cavity or organ and diagnose a problem without being invasive. An endoscopy allows biopsies, cultures and removing foreign objects from the lungs, stomach or intestines. Endoscopies are less stressful than standard surgery and allow for a quicker recovery time for your pet.

Senior Pet Examinations

We provide annual blood pressure evaluations for all dogs and cats over seven years of age. This allows for early detection of high blood pressure, before organ damage can occur.

Our hospital also provides intra-ocular pressure readings performed with a Tonopen for all dogs and cats over seven years of age. This screening detects glaucoma before it can damage or destroy the eye.
