Dr. Wendi Aengus

Chief of Staff Dr. Wendi Aengus has practiced medicine at Valley Veterinary Hospital since April 2000.

A native of Los Angeles, Dr. Aengus attended the University of California, Davis, where she majored in zoology and minored in social/cultural anthropology. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology in 1993. She went on to attend UC-Davis Veterinary School and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She also has a Master's Degree in Avian Science. Dr. Aengus' professional interests include dermatology and avian and exotic medicine.

Dr. Aengus is a member of the Contra Costa Veterinary Medical Association; the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society; the Association of Avian Veterinarians and the Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights. At home, she cares for a menagerie of animals that includes dogs, cats, birds and reptiles.

Dr. Laura Wagner

A native of San Francisco, Dr. Laura Wagner has practiced medicine at Valley Veterinary Hospital since February 2006.

She attended Gonzaga University and graduated in 1999 and was awarded her Bachelor's Degree in Biology. She went on to attend the Royal Veterinary College at the University of London and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.

At home, Dr. Wagner spends time with her two kittens, Aloysius and Hercules. In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, hiking, traveling, photography and sports.
